On this week’s podcast we welcomed our first non-employee guest to the show, Adam Weber, Pivot Energy’s Director of Offsite Solutions. Adam was kind enough to share with us a little bit about the work he does at Pivot and how he found himself in a career deploying renewable energy resources.
We’ve really enjoyed getting to know Adam over the past few months, as Pivot has become an early and ardent supporter of our vision. One of the great benefits of doing a podcast is getting to know other sides of someone. We try to keep things pretty informal on our show. There are plenty of places to hear deep policy discussions. We want to hear about the organizations and the people who are on the front lines of the decarbonization movement. Adam was kind enough to tell us about his journeys through the Middle East and winding up in Colorado.
As a side note, we recorded this about 24 hours before the crash of Silicon Valley Bank. It’s sort of funny - in hindsight - to hear us talking with no idea what kind of craziness would ensue the very next day. Thankfully, the worst of the crisis appears to have been avoided. We’re cognizant, however, that SVB was a critical partner for many climate oriented solution providers. It is important that we figure out how to keep capital flowing into decarbonization projects. Not only do these projects make good financial sense, they literally will save the planet.
